Despite everyone having airline connections from hell (both, the London and Milan connections sounded equally appealing), most got one late afternoon run. I had my first high flight today off of the low launch at the South takeoff... and with a nice large audience, too; what a rush! Thanks for your advice at the top everyone.

Late Afternoon Run
The winds were too gusty during the morning at the site overlooking Casarabonela. Most of us got one flight in (two for Edward, Peter and Ryan... thanks for leaving your helmet at the hotel, Ranni!) during the afternoon off the middle launch at the the South takeoff.

Late Afternoon Run
Hey, who scratched the van? Six of us got some good hiking in going up to the high launch on the South side (you know... I heard somewhere that people pay to go on hikes like this). We also began practicing our "para-waiting" skills after Randy, Ciaran, Garet, Mike, Steve and Tom got tossed around for a while; the flights were definitely worth the hike and the wait, though! Sorry, Ciaran, I didn't get a photo of your origami/knot-tying show!

No Runs, Except for Morton and The German
We did some kite-flying, kiting and honed our "para-waiting" skills on the North takeoff. Taking off backwards... landing backwards...uhhh... yeah!... maybe para-waiting isn't so bad after all.

No Runs
Everyone took a day trip to Malaga and Mijas as it was raining in El Valle. I think Peter is probably still in spain hacking away at those... things in the bowl!

No Runs
Notice the name of the travel agent on the sign thanking everyone for visiting Gibraltar? I do have to be fair, though... I didn't get to see the monkey show/attack!

Afternoon Runs
Peter tells me that most had excellent flights on the last day in the 1-3 hour range. Figures! However, it sounds like his airline flight was miserable, and they lost his bags for a couple of days. At least there's some justice in the world.
Thanks to: Lars and Andreas for arranging everything, Tom for shuttling us all around - it had to be exhausting, and Randy and Lars for the coaching. It was nice to get to know all of you a little bit. Hope to see everyone again some time soon.
